Sure. Not sure when yet as I'm waiting to visit daughter and new grandson. I got out this afternoon and used many goat tracks. They were a doddle on this bike.

Last year I had a spur-of-the-moment ride to Llyn Vyrnwy, and decided to take the B4396 down to Penybontfawr. That is NOT a B road, it should be reclassified as an unmetalled track .... gravel-strewn downhill bends, grass breaking through the surface, it cause a lot of puckering, I can tell you.

I rode that road a couple of weeks ago with my friend Steve. He was on his Triumph Bobber and said he really enjoyed the road. I've always liked the sketchy nature of it, although they do seem to have resurfaced a fair amount of it between Hirnant and Penybont Fawr.

If it's been resurfaced, I'll have to give it another try when I'm up to it ... it definitely needed surfacing last year!

Hot, isn't it? Got to the Raven caff near Whitchurch this morning, and saw some lovely bikes including a mint Suzi X7 and a very nice US-market Z1300 six.

Temperatures were OK when I was moving, but I was sweating cobs when stopped at lights etc.

Flip yes. Decided to select an auto factor at random and headed out mid morning to get some car washing supplies. It seems the flood relief works in western Oxford are having a much bigger impact on traffic than I thought - up to 20 miles away was really snarled up. Had all the vent zips on my jacket open but I must have lost a kilo or two by the time I got back.

AVOID OXFORD AND SURROUNDS IF YOU CAN.
