Default How to de-badge my car?

Does anybody know how to easily remove a plastic chrome badge which is stuck on the boot of my Astra? I dont want to damage the paint but dont mind breaking the badge?

it should be glued on (well it is on the vectras), should pull off if you get a Stanley blade behind it but be careful not to scratch the paint

will leave glue residue behind which MIGHT come off with meths without damaging paintwork

The best way I found to do it was to take warm soapy water and pour it over the badge. Let it soak (for say a couple of minutes), then take some dental floss and hook it at the edge of the badge where you can access the back. Use a sawing motion and it'll cut through it in no time.

There will be some residue left behind. Any half decent polish will take this off no probs.
