Default Help on the bike ✌🏻

Hi guys

Just been out on sv650 s 2004 today and come back to notice
That my

Horn
Lower beam
High beam

Don’t work, I’m gonna go back to my garage Saturday
Could anyone give me any tips, what could be causing these faults?

Could be water damage or some wires that are not insulated properly and also a blown fuse

The headlight and front lights share a common negative, so that'll be the problem. Trace the black/white wire back to the battery, although I suspect it goes through the chassis, so check bonding.

Quick shufty through the manual.

Horn and lights don't share a fuse. You'd need 3 fuses to blow to get those problems.

Left hand handle bar switch gear is a good common point to start looking for a problem. There is probably a connector that is full of water.

Horn may be a separate issue and might just need the screw adjusting on the back. Mine used to stop working when the engine warmed up due to the radiator heating it. I had to adjust the screw with the engine warm.


Are your indicators working? Sidelights?
