Default after the run in process..

i have just run in my 2005 sv 650 at the 600 mile first service, and i am proud to say i just did it in 5 days.....

i recently dyno'd my bike yesterday and it is putting out a quite amazing 79bhp standard.

as i was told by a freind its supposed to be around the 70 bhp mark, is this correct..?

if so well done me, what do you guys(n gals) think??

manny thanks, tom

Sounds like a fault as that would work out at about 83-84 at the crankshaft which I don't think is achievable unless you're reboring/stroking the motor???

There's alot of variation between dynanometers, so it's possible that with a high reading meter and a good engine you could show 79 with no mods. I'm not sure what corrections they do on the figure, though.

Some shops have quite optimistic dynos, impresses the customers.

I just passed the 500 mile mark and that is the run in period if you look in the book and then you can go to 7500rpm until 1000 miles

i am at work........

the things sat out side from 8:30- til 5:30

i went for a blast last night and put 100 miles on it. as i was getting ****ed at the tyres not being rubbed in!

i am out on sunday with her..going to kirby longsdale (a mates just picking up his gsxr 1000 on friday so he want to play out) so that will get a few miles on it.....

but i tell yo what its hard keeping the revs low..... dont you just wanna blast it....

what will happen if the reves arent adheared to .... and what is teh reason for the running in period...

i know a mechanic on a race team and tehy put brand new engines in teh bikes and teh riders just go give em hell....

even he things taht the engines can take it..........al be it they have to last longer thenb a race engine
