Nice to see some proper pictures, but I'm still waiting for the same engine in the new Transalp. Although knowing my luck it'll be too tall....

Actually looks quite good. 55lb-ft is a decent wodge of torque, too.

I'm not keen on the styling. The headlight assembly looks too low, droopy. A small screen covering the clocks would improve things.

A lot of the comments I've seen say the same John. It's not too bad but it's still, not my cup of tea.

Looks as though the parallel twin configuration is the way to go. Suzuki's mid range machine taking over from the SV is the same. I have a feeling that these manufacturers want to take the racing mantle off Kawasaki for Super Twin supremacy. Emissions should be far better for the roads too.

Honda, maybe. Suzuki, well they have turned their back on racing so doubt it.

Suzuki have, but there are still privateers that have tried to stick to the brand as there are a lot of old SVs knocking around the paddock. Just depends on whether any companies offer race parts for the new twin
