Hi,
Are Kevlar jeans any good, or are they just for comfort, i've seen the youtube vids but he could have a metal bum shaped plate in the jeans for all we know. Has anyone come off in them at some speed? |

They will work better than standard jeans!. Ive had a customer that brought a pair for us that had a low speed off en route to the pub one evening and he was fine. Ok he had bruises but was in better shape than he would have been if he was wearing normal jeans.

I have spent years riding in normal jeans and got away with it but I have moved to the Kevlar ones this year to get rid of that "what if" doubt in my mind.

ive got the red route ones and they are very comfortable, not had the misfortune of coming off yet, but I can only guess they will do a better job than a pair of jeans or shorts, and with the weather we have been having, leathers are far to warm, I find myself thinking about how hot I am most of the journey..

They'd do better than normal jeans but they won't have anything to cushion your knees unless you choose to add that.
I can assure you normal jeans won't survive! |

Well don't know if you could really qualify 30mph as 'speed', but it was enough to do this to the denim of my draggins.
![]() The kevlar lining underneath looks as good as new - much better than I was expecting tbh. I still wear these - I've got like 4 gaping holes that need to be stitched but can't be ar&sed. Get's you some right looks, especially in some restaurants. They work a treat though, keep ya nice and cooler than leathers do anyway. |

I'm not surprised they keep you cool with those rips!

Mine are the Red Route ones two with Kevlar inner lining, Kevlar woven into the jeans and soft knee protection too
