Which front pads?
Which pads should I go for? I've replaced the front hoses with Goodrich braided S/S but still want to sharpen up the brakes. Any recommendation?
Are softer pads better for more stopping power? |

its depends on how you ride your bike and what your bike is most used for
ie commuting with the occaisonal mad 10 minutes or driving like a mad man with the odd 10 mins of commuting suzuki in there infinite wisdom created a pad that gave you 1 good slow speed feel and braking 2 reasonable high speed feel and braking without any loss to either different pads suit different needs decide what you want to do then buy a pad suited for your application |

I'd like the best of every option but my priority has to be for good brakes at the upper end of the speed range as the iron steed is just for fun . Does anyone know what the HH stands for? and are there other grades?

For the best braking Carbon Lorraine SBK, or Lockheed/AP, for real world use it's hard to beat the standard pads.
I'm not keen on EBC pads of any variety, have seen too many calipers worn from poorly formed back plates, although to be fair EBC are far from the only make that does this.

Love the EBC HHs myself, for all riding. I went back to standard pads for a little while after my last off and that made me appreciat the EBC's all teh more.
Sid Squid, do tell more... I've not encountered teh problem but it'd be good to know what too watch for in case it comes up...
