Default major service & new can

just had the 14500 service done , well at 17 k ( service it approx every 4k) ,also had a CCC can (from ebay)fitted & new rear brake pads fitted at the same time.
The above cost 169 quid , which I thought was fair , the valve clearances were checked and were fine ( but worth checking just in case)

The chain was given a clean bill of health as well , the CCC can ( 99 quid from ebay) , sounds a lot better than stock with the baffle in , will prob leave baffle in as use bike daily .

The rear pads had approx 1 k left in them at 17k , is this fairly normal wear ?
The front pads are fine , not half worn yet .

Cheers Steve

Default Re: major service & new can

I'd take the baffle out if I were you. Its not much louder at low revs or small throttle openings. Besides- this forum is full of "i wish I'd taken it out earlier" threads. Good choice
