OMG 9 months on
Arrrggghhhh as you all know I have a defect shoulder after my off last August. I simply can't lift my arm any higher than my shoulder to which I have adapted, the pain is part of my everyday living.
Just got home to a letter from the hospital inviting me to call them to make an operation appointment ....... arrggghhhhhhhhh I am now terrified of the tiny op I am having god I like my arm this way! But on the plus side I may be riding this summer ...... bugga I got a hen party in Spain in June...... do i forfeit this for my op?????

Re: OMG 9 months on
I take it the op means you'll get full usage of your shoulder back? minus the pain too hopefully?
Watching them op vids probably wasn't a good idea |

Re: OMG 9 months on
Go for the op, get out on the bike asap, i'm sure you'll not enjoy Spain.
I mean what is there? Apart from the sun, sea, sangria, toned waiters trying to get a visa to the UK If it makes you feel better i'll go on the hen weekend in your place |

Re: OMG 9 months on
So have they given you a provisional date for it then, do you know it's going to clash with this hen do or are you bothered about the recovery period clashing? |

I expect tis a common op performed all the time so stop worrying and get it over with (and maybe have a huge pi$$up nearer the time to aid your nerves ) |

Re: OMG 9 months on
Is the op on the same date as the hen party then??
Presuming it doesn't actually coincide, just think, if you are bandaged up, you might get a sympathy sh4g when you are out there!! Oh and think of it this way ... instead of hurting your shoulder, if you had got yourself up the duff, just think how painful it would be NOW (9 months later ). Don't be so ghey, get the op done, then get back out on the bike in the sun Last edited by Blue_SV650S; 10-05-08 at 11:54 AM. |
