warning on dodgy numberplates

just got fined £30 for my car personal no.plate, the space is in the wrong place, traffic cop said they are having a clamp down over the next few months.
if i get stopped again, they will take the plate off me and put my car on a Q plate
he said the same applys to bikes

Wonder if this is nationwide, plenty round here you cant even read due to script fonts, and despatate saddo's trying to make their plate read something by adding nuts and dodgy spacing.

Road users getting picked on again...

Hovis, it makes money and it bumps up their PPI's and obviously most Traffic coppers are too thick, lazy and spineless to do anything about real crime or issues that affect road safety so dont worry about it!

what with ANPR being rolled out so widely now, (London everywhere, approach roads to every airport, motorway gantrys etc), I guess they are keen to make sure all plates are readable, so big brother can do all their detection for them.
Viz had a top tip, just change your name to GJK 419X by deed poll for ?20, and hey - instant personalised numberplate.

Sorry to hear this bud. Get a Beemer, Merc, Jag, Porche or Oooge 4x4 and you might have got away with it. Well thats what it seems like round here anyway.

They were going on about this on the radio earlier this week. Sounded like a nationwide thing.
