Staying Up!
The mighty Hammers survive!!
Apologies to Blades fans. Doing the double over Man U and Arsenal has to count for something! Cue angry replies about the legitimacy of Tevez' transfer! Don't care....we survived! |

Re: Staying Up!
What about the threatened legal actions by the relegated clubs?
I don't really care who goes down (ooer!) Spurs are 5th and in UEFA again for the 2nd year running |

Re: Staying Up!
It was a 3 way survival battle between West Ham, Wigan & Sheffield Utd.

Re: Staying Up!
I was pleased no end to see Wigan beat Sheffield and send Neil "The decisions never go our way!" Warnock back from whence he came. Nothing against Sheffield, put up a good fight, but Warnock does my head in
Great to see W. Ham stay up too, I knew they'd do it. It had to be Tevez too didn't it Dubious circumstances perhaps, and I'm sure it's not over yet, but I can't see imposing any further penalty now. I was also really, really pleased to see Spurs end up 5th, and I'm an Arsenal fan! They've been a credit to the league this season, definitely top 3 in terms of entertainment and it would have been a travesty if they missed out on UEFA cup. They've got a good chance of winning it if they can iron out a few defensive problems, even more so if they can somehow hang on to the awesome Berbatov. It's a good period for English football, I can't wait to see who is brought in over the summer by the big guns and whether they can actually remember how to play the game once they get here, unlike Schevvy. |

Re: Staying Up!
Anyone with any clue about the regulations know that there was no chance of a points reducton for the actual crime committed. Both Javier and Carlos were legally registered at all times. The issue over third party involvement was not punishable by more than a monetry fine by the laws. Wigan and Sheffield know this and Dave *spit* Whelan approved the panel for the investigatio.

Re: Staying Up!
i read in the paper that warnock was moaning that fergie had put out a weak squad. WHAT IS HE ON ABOUT did fergie or the united players really care about the result, i think not. look at the stats on paper we battered west ham but they did what alot of teams have to do and grind out the result.
