Default Triumph Rocket 3

Anyone got any opinions about the Rocket 3?
I'm looking at getting a new bike and I have to admit I'm kind of taken with the beast but I'm not sure if it's a true practical bike or just a poser with all that chrome =p.

I can't decide to pick up a cheap SV again or go off the opposite end of the scale and get one of these .

It's going to be a daily hack as well which is making me worry it's not really suitable but I'm having trouble listening to that part of my brain over the rest of it thats yelling "SHINEY!!!! WANT!!!!!"

Anyone want to give me a sanity check or should I just go for it?

apparently it handles absolutely superb. I sat on one once, it was like sitting on a cow!

Not suitable as a daily hack though, its full of chrome.

I'd have one! but they are soooooo expensive! and probably totally impractical.

Nearest I got was sitting on one in a showroom, and as the mass is held so low and central, they feel surprisingly light. Wouldn't wanna push one up a hill tho!

I think you'd have to be big to handle it- I couldn't manoevre my VN900 at slow speeds and it was 249kgs. Also, hell of a job keeping it shiny.

Hmmmmmmmm...........having had a go on one,; I'd say if you didn't need to filter or come threw town then you could use one daily, once moving they handle alright, but it's to bulky to be considered like normal bikes, no idea of running costs but it's going to be way over an SV that's for sure.

Generally I think it's a briliant engineering feat, but a bit irrelevent as a motorbike.

Cheers Mark.
