Look at my Meat!
I'm cooking a mega chilli tonight, five hours in the oven. Using this shin of beef on the bone which cost me £7 for 1.3kg! The marrow is going to melt out, the meat is going to be fall apart tender... mm mm mm! Fresh salsa, sour cream, coleslaw and basmati rice. Heavenly.
This is the recipe: http://thequirkandthecool.com/2014/0...exican-chilli/ Here's the star of the show. I'll do an after pic later. Anyone else cooking up a storm tonight? Pete

Re: Look at my Meat!
But only today and tomorrow. Earliest after that then the "Training Day" waste of time.

Re: Look at my Meat!
Went to the butchers this morning to see if he had any shins in. He brought out what was pretty much a full leg and asked how much I wanted
He's keeping it in the back for me so I can go and measure how deep my casserole pot is, so he can cut it to the right size. You won't get service like that in a supermarket! |
