Re: Quiet exhaust
Well, I've tried with the baffle in and also with extra packing around the baffle and it's still to loud for me.
I guess I need to try stock exhaust. If anyone's got one let me know.

Re: Quiet exhaust
The idea of the perforated internal tube and the wadding is to let the gasses expand in a controlled manner.
Here is a good video on car exhaust, but principles still the same https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KsZtyFhies Interesting video on motorbike exhausts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r53UrV7cKp0

Re: Quiet exhaust
My Pointy L2 came with a rather noisy can. Too noisy for me to the extent I felt really self conscious in traffic. The seller also included the original standard exhaust so I've swapped back to that and am really happy with it. To me a quiet bike feels faster, a noisy bike feels slower as it feels like it's having to work harder.

Re: Quiet exhaust
Its not that I want or even like a noisy can but did you feel the difference in weight between the standard and after market jobbie?

Re: Quiet exhaust
I was certainly aware when I was swapping them over, but the weight isn't noticeable (to me) when riding. I was a bit concerned before, my previous K6 had a carbon fibre Remus can that although louder than standard was more of a thud than a bark and of course much lighter than standard. But I wasn't going to spend that sort of cash without at least trying the standard can that I already had, and in the end I have just kept it.
