Wanted SV650 not naked - Got ?2000 in my pocket, what you got?

Hi all,

Looking to get my first big bike after passing my DAS recently. After weeks of research I have decided to get an SV650 and have ?2000 available now to get one.

Now the weather is turning would really like to buy one soon. Even this weekend...

I am based in Wokingham, Berks and willing to travel for the right bike. If you have one but think you might be too far i'm sure we can sort something out.

Cheers for the offer, the bike looks and would be definitely interested if a bit closer but I'm thinking Northants is a bit too far. Everything is easier to do when closer by. The reason I say is I actually bought a SV650 today about 40 miles from where I live. To cut a long story short by the time I get it home it's leaking oil and the rattling like a bitch. Apparently the tensioner has gone! So load it in a van, and after horrendous one hour trip trying to keep the bike stable arrive back where I got it from and get a refund. Don't want to go through all that again!

No problem but if you change your mind i can assure you this one is faultless! the only advice i can give is make sure when you look at a bike it is started from stone cold, if the owner has warmed it up before you get there he may be trying to hide something and go for a test ride, agree a price first, give them the cash as a bond and ride it, if you dont like it or it has a problem you get your money back, if you crash it you've bought it! also if the seller wont do this they may be hiding something check on the phone if they will do this before going! Sorry if i sound like i'm trying to tell you how to buy a bike but we all know there are a lot of crooks out there! Good luck with your hunt i think mine will be on auto trader soon!

Cheers mate. Yep I think I was a bit niave yesterday. Fair play to the guy though he did agree to a refund no arguments.
