My weird theory....
that might also be another reason to global warming.
the planets are spinning round the sun and the sun is a star in out galaxy which is in space. space is not as empty as people might think. as well as everything spinning it also moves through space, think of someone juggling while riding a bike. my theory is that we are travelling through different pockets of space which has different densities of vacuum and matter which in turn affects the weather. these might last years, decades or century's depending on the vacuum pocket densities and other matter. Re: My weird theory....
I'm tempted to say I'll have a dram of whatever Bibs has been drinking, but as theories go it deserves discussion. Not by me I hasten to add - I have no idea...

Re: My weird theory....
As the relative position of celestial bodies change, gravitational forces change. Which I imagine could affect the atmosphere. So why not? There's definitely something causing the underlying cycle of change.
But I'm not sure your theory gets us totally away from the man-made influence component of the climate change we're seeing at present But I think I've just exhausted my astro-physics knowledge and now need to leave it to far cleverer people than me.
