Official figures from Suzuki are exactly the same for both bikes (engine and electronics are all but similar) so I'm not sure where you are getting your facts from...

I guess that would depend on who you race with. Some series regs have a power cap rendering a 10% power advantage useless, if indeed it really exists. Some other series do not have the power cap and so it might be useful.

On an equal footing however, I dont see a reason why the Gladius couldnt be used provided that it adheres to the current regs.

They also have a heavier flywheel to stop newbs from stalling... not that they did before. Also same crap suspension as an SV. I would spend same money on an earlier bike with better suspension.

BTW it is a completely seperate model to the SV, according to minitwin rules on website, so you can't swap any parts over.
Seems like BS rule to me as it's clearly just the SV's queer cousin but that's the rules.

IIRC the Gladius has a 46 rear sprocket too I seem to remember reading somewhere, so it'd feel punchier than an earlier, higher geared bike.

The Gladius is legal and we are currently helping an Ex Superteen Champ with his for next season. Its will go onto the dyno in the next week prior to going to Jerez. Stock they make about 1bhp more than the SV so not much difference.

Parts arent interchangeable between the Gladius and SV650 as they are two seperate models.
