We've just had a lovely long weekend in a friends cottage on Ynys Mon (Anglesey). The dogs have had a whale of a time and it was so nice to see our little Staffie running about having fun with her brother after being very ill a couple of months ago. She'll never fully recover, but she's enjoying her life again and it puts a smile on my face.

We met up with friends we've not seen in a while yesterday, on the way home. We had a wonderful time catching up and just smiling with friends.

Took the VFR out for a spin yesterday, lured out by the sunshine, which promptly disappeared. My lack of riding time is apparent these days, I seem to ride like a newby for the first 30 minutes while I tune myself back in. It doesn't help that both tyres are at the end of their life and nicely squared off.

My destination was Grindley Brook canal locks just outside Whitchurch. I thought I might get some interesting photos. I haven't edited them yet but I might have a couple of keepers.

I'll probably SORN the bike next week and get some tax money back.

I've never stopped there, if I'm around Whitchurch I usually go to the Raven on the road to Shrewsbury. I'll have to try there next time.

You'll see a sign for the Lock Cafe. There's a small car park. There are road works right on top of it at the moment which made access interesting.

Had a cracking morning busking in Machynlleth with daughter Eleri. Did very well there even before the CDs we sold, met lots of lovely people, caught up with an old friend, and had some excellent coffee and cake.
As a bonus, the rain held off until we packed up!

Day off tomorrow then we're heading for Whitchurch on Friday, and Wellington on Saturday.
