Default 2019 onwards AL9 front pads?

Hello, I've a 2019 AL9 with the four pot calipers. The pads look like they've little life left. I've had a look on the EBC site but these pads (FA496HH) look like they are for the 2 pot calipers. Anyone know if they are suitable please? If not what the hell are?

No worries, the right pads are
FA158HH. Or FA158 for the organics. FFS, paste formating gahhhahhah.

They switched in 2019. From the current SV650 web page:

"For 2019 the ever-popular SV650 comes with improved stopping power, thanks to an upgrade to new four-piston front brake calipers."

well bowl me over. so they do. i personally never found the older SV brakes lacking if serviced properly but it looks like suzuki has listened for once either that the parts bins were full of the 4 pots.

In that case, I wonder if the four pot calipers will retro fit the older models.

Having said that, like Bibs I find the normal 2-pots pretty good as it is.

Agreed, I also wonder if the four pots would be any better in the real world or is it mainly marketing spin?

saying that I cant safely ride my 2007 SV with one finger on the brake lever which I would like to do. Maybe I need one of those Charles Atlas hand exercisers but I think four pots might allow me to do it....

I only ever use my first two fingers on the brake lever.
