Painting - A Review.
I feckin hate it.
Glorious weather over here so decided to start tidying up the outside of the house to get it ready to sell. Started Monday morning and still going. Well - that's not strictly true - I did me back in yesterday so my fiancee Jo and my dad are currently doing it while I sit here and type this in absolute agony and high as a kite on drugs (prescribed drugs). Which brings me to my question. I know it's a real pain in the a$$ but how can decorators get away with charging such extortionate prices for slapping on a bit of paint when the finished job sometimes is no better than what you do yourself? Discuss. |

I paid 300 quid to get my house painted. It was money I had and nice house Mrs Tiger wanted. Sure, I would've got a feeling of satisfaction from doing it myself but.......******** to that! |

Re: Painting - A Review.
Same as most jobs really isn't it, time is money so you can either do it yourself, which for painting is a short learning curve and stuff like car maintenance slightly longer, or you can pay someone else to spend their time (and possibly use their experience if you're lucky) doing it.
Except now we have this pansy mother-state government who are slowly restricting everything, can't wire your own house now , won't be able to fix your push bike yourself soon...
