Re: Does the sv whine?
Yea, theres a whine, theres all sorts of odd noises. I have this very fast ticking noise between 4k and 5k, which I've decided is the chain or something. Its deffo not the engine, as my cam chain tensioners where checked a few weeks back, all hunky dory there.

Re: Does the sv whine?
AndyBrad do you blip the throttle on down changes? Or is it when its already in gear and you just let off the throttle?

Re: Does the sv whine?
v-twins are noisy buggers, unless it sounds catastrophic it's almost certain to be normal...
you should hear a competition single, if your SV made a noise like my KTM (running 100%) you'd be getting ready for a big repair bill

Re: Does the sv whine?
I reckon it's just because you have a standard can, so all the engines wierd noises are obvious.

Re: Does the sv whine?

Re: Does the sv whine?
I think its a clutch whine you can hear, I changed my oil which has quietned the engine back down and I can hear the whine from the clutch again.
