Panasonic TZ7
Anyone got a Panasonic TZ7 camera?
If so, what's the picture quality like? I'm assuming pretty good I currently have a Fuji S5700 and, whilst it has lots of features and controls, there's a heck of a lot of purple fringing around high-contrast areas of the frame. Yeah, I know it only cost about £100 or so, but so did Mrs Jabba's Sony compact and the picture quality is much better. And before anyone points out the obvious, I know that the Fuji is a Bridge Camera, but I've decided to go for a compact to replace it Local camera shop wants £299.99 for a TZ7 but I ain't paying that Any other recommendations for around £250? Re: Panasonic TZ7
Did well in the dpreview mega-test up against Canon/Olympus/Samsung/Sony competitors. Note the TZ range is called ZS whatever in the US for reasons best known to Panasonic (all the makers seem to do this, ).

Re: Panasonic TZ7
My mum has the TZ7. I'm not that impressed with it for the money. The battery runs out really quick compared to my fuji. And it won't give me complete manual control which is annoying. Although it does take good quality "point and shoot" pics

Re: Panasonic TZ7
After much deliberation i bought a TZ5. Now i can hoensly say the picture quality is superb for what i use it for. It could do with a little more manual contraol, but overall its highly recomended by Viney.

Re: Panasonic TZ7
My Fuji has a lot more manual control than the TZ7 seems to have, but I hardly ever use it.
I've done a fair bit of googling aand the TZ7 seems to be top banana for that type of camera..... and the 1280x720p video mode is a bonus. My mind is made up. Thanks guys |
