REV LIMIT does anyone know why?
Does anyone know why my bike does 1500rpm more than it should cos i have tried a different cdi and clocks and it makes no difference.

The tachos over-read. They're notorious for it.

Either try a different set of clocks and if it still reads the same have a close look at the wiring loom for any extras that the previous owner might have added.
Alternatively take it back to Gary at SDC and get him to fix it Even better, send a message to 'SV650Racer' or 'Itching to go' on this forum and see if they have any ideas. |

The previous poster was correct. The tach overreads. You can put it on a dyno to confirm. For racing, I use a shift light from www.raptor.com which gives an accurate indicator.

I ride a sv1k, it reads red line at 12000 or 11000. Truth is that on a dyno run, it only shows 10200
