Hi,

I'm trying to sort out a do for the afternoon of the 26th. The idea is a nice leisurely trip, taking in Rivi Barn and a loop round bottom end of the forest of Bowland (long Preston, Slaidburn and maybe the trough) ending back at the barn. So far there are a couple of folks interested (me, bbc, and another) any more are welcome.

This will be a nice and easy thing so ideal for running in, and those who are worried about getting left behind.

Was intending to have gallop through the trough, so might join you lot and hopefully learn some other routes. From Rivvy I normally drop through Houghton , Roach Bridge, upto the A59, and skirt the side of Ribchester, Jeffery Hill and then into the trough through Whitewell. All very good bike friendly roads with the exception of the coroners corridor. which is just a racetrack

It would be nice to come at it the other way round, so that we could stop at Slaidburn for a brew. Where do you normally come out - round Scorton?

If I am heading up to devils I come out at Caton. Otherwise I tend to drop down towards Scorton, but double back through to Oakenclough for a family brew and then carry on back to Longridge, Hurst Green and then a reverse of my route from there down A59, Roach Bridge, Houghton, Brindle home. So like I say it would be nice to turn right and head to slaidburn way for a change for me.
