Default Good biking passess in Alps

Hi, maybe i should post this in the 'Eurotour' section, but thought might get more replies here

I fancy a trip to the alps this July, and wondered if anyone could reccommend some roads in these areas ....i'm looking for the Alpine road 'Essential Selection'!!

I've got 2 full weeks of bike time to get from Newcastle to the twisty roads for fun and games, then back home

Also, which is the best ferry crossing to take - planning on blasting down to the Alps area so just want to get on ferry then quickest route to Alps.

Cheers,

Martin

What a coincidence, I've just read an article in RealClassic mag where the author extols 'The Road Riders Guide to Northern Spain' by **** (diminutive Richard for the auto-sensor) Henneman - Their surnames both begin with 'H'!

Sorry...

Well the Euro tour section would have got some response. For the BEST mountain passes in Europe, look no further than http://www.alpineroads.com/. An excellent site with REAL information on it.

And I would recommend taking the train to the alps, rather than riding through France. It means you get to sleep through the bring parts, and wake up and ride right onto the twists

I believe the EuroTour lot are doing as such this year, you may want to ask Jelster how it all works, prices, etc.
