Sorry its a 1.7ctdi diesel (actually its an Isuzu engine) with turbo. Codes that were present P0101 (confirmed) - Mass or Volume Air Flow "A" Circuit Range/Performance
P0102 (confirmed) - Mass or Volume Air Flow "A" Circuit Low P0113 (confirmed) - Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1. However these codes could have been generated after I disconned the MAS. It has gone into limp mode again and there were no error codes either logged or pending. The ECU fault light does not light up when it fails so the MAS may be a red herring- but the car did run nearly ok with it disconnected. I have ordered a full set of filters to change although they are only 66% through their service life |

Could have a look at the state of the intake manifold, may be clogged up and not letting enough flow over the MAS.
It's a symptom of the EGR system introducing soot and the crackcase vent mixing it with a bit of oil. Be careful with spraying intake cleaner in there though you don't want a big chunk of it to fall in the cylinder. Useful video showing the issue. https://youtu.be/mQTEmzF_8tw This is just a possibility, my A3 had a MAS issue that was cured by cleaning the manifold, some mouths later the turbo vanes started sticking (this gives an over pressure warning though) so got rid of it.
