Out and about today before starting my next four on four off shift stint. Trying out a gifted Pentax K100D, an old 6mp CCD DSLR. Nice clear views from the top of Orford Castle, and some shots from Framlingham Castle too.

Pondlife! As well as seeing a newt in my pond a couple of days back, I saw this, and the damselfly which had just hatched from it.

Then just a short while ago I found this. I didn't see the dragonfly though.

Amazing! A local pond is absolutely lifting with tadpoles, many of which have now developed vestigial limbs. We keep going back weekly to see how they're doing, hopefully it'll be frog central soon.

Nice. Ever since the aquatic snail population exploded in our pond we've seen very few damsel fly hatches, and we've seen them eating all the frog spawn so amphibian sightings are few and far between too

Tan y Bwlch is one of the best places to see trains on the Ffestiniog line due to the way the track loops around. Saw the Gravity Train there by accident, great!

That's a diseasal! As I remember fondly from my old Thomas books, before they sold out to the TV lot and ruined the franchise.
