Nope, didn't crash it
Went through one of those new gatso-type cameras on the A4 today at 60 (it's a 40 zone) so I'm slightly pi$$ed off with myself. I go past that camera everyday but for some reason this morning it didn't register and I had the sun in my face. I had the choice of slamming on the anchors when I saw the white lines on the road, but with Emma on the back it wasn't really an option so I just rode through it. My fault of course, and now I've got 2 weeks of waiting to see if I get a NIP, but I'm suspecting that I will. What's the worst in terms of points/fine I can expect? Naughty me!

Firstly, thank god you aint crashed it mate.
Secondly i'd say 3 points & £60 fine but if they decide to go for more then you really should tell them about the pothole that you hit just before the camera and the fact its a new bike so your throttle control was affected by those 2 factors and a passenger making braking less effective n all that |

Dude, don't scare me like that! I'd also say 3 and £60. AFAIK it goes up when you are 26mph over the limit.

Oops! Also thought you'd chucked it, glad not.
I think you should head out on the road tonight with a shovel/jackhammer and double check that there is said pothole there. |
