Is there any independents like Spanner man that know the SV inside out and do work at not to riduculus prices near to york.

If its just for fitting a new rear shock as per your other thread then have no fear its a doddle.

Front springs and scotoiler. I am doing the shock and dog bones myself.

if your just swapping the springs and or oil you can leave them on the bike.
A coat hanger wire is suitable to remove the internals. If you want to swap out the oil then syphon it out (do it once, then leave them over night and do it again in the morning).
Do the reverse to rebuild em.

For the scot-oiler, I'm confident enough to do wiring on my own bike but I'd not do it on someone elses but I assure you its quite simple.

if your fitting the shock yourself, front springs and fresh oil/scottoiler are easy jobs
