Default Newbie from the Philippines..

Hello to all! I'm a newbie biker living in the Philippines. I have been into riding since 2 months ago on my K3 pointy. This site is really a big help to newbies like me who need technical stuff about bikes and riding.. More power!

Hello

I used to work in the Philippines. a place called Sual in Pangasinan. Although I have to admit to a few visits to the Firehouse in Manilla. I hope the roads have improved out of towns/cities enough to really use the bike.

Welcome! its great to have international people, gives you a whole new perspective on riding (like riding without speed cameras every 20 seconds)

Many thanks for the warm welcome folks! Great to meet new people on the web!

@timwilky, I've been to Panggasinan, nice place with good beaches... My place is in Laguna, ~30km south of Manila. We now have good roads out of the cities worthy of long rides. number of riders have increased in the past couple of years.. I haven't had a long ride yet since getting my pointy, will do when i get enough confidence with my bike and my riding.

@Biker Biggles. Thanks! It's still raining very hard.. In fact, we're in the middle of the rainy season so i expect it to rain everyday.. When it stops and the road dries up, i take the opportunity to ride even for a few minutes only, just to be familiar with my bike and improve my skill.

Thanks! speed cameras? yeah. we don't have them here. on a positive note, there's really nothin that beats the feeling of total freedom on the road.. But i prefer to be safe always!
