Default Fitting fairing panels?

According to Suzuki's exploded view the sides of my curvy are held by clips inside by the radiator (the one that hold the side to the front fairing) trouble is one side i have a 'u' clip and screw and the other there is nothing so if flaps around over bumps, should it be a clip if so i take it the push fit trim clips? what size are they i have 5mm ones but they just work loose and fall out

the raidiator mounts are rubber grommets which the plastic spike on the inside of the fairing pushes into to secure it

Maviczap, the lug is broken on one side and the screw is also missing which is why it flaps

No suprise there.

You'll need a long dome headed allen bolt (m4 or m5), which sholud screw into a metal bracket which pokes out from the frame. This will do most of the securing, so long as the metal bracket is still there?

I'll wait for your pics

Right

These are on the left as you sit on the bike, as you can see the lug is in place and there is a screw securing it from the inside

Attachment 8755
Attachment 8756

This is on the right hand side as you sit on the bike, as you can see the lug is gone completely and the screw is not on this side which is what it would like to fit to reduce the flapping of the panel

Attachment 8753
Attachment 8754
Attachment 8752

P.S Before anyone points it out yes they are odd panels that have been spayed bike was originally Red but had it left han fairing replaced due to a drop by a previous owner.

The fittings inside the front (where you've got a screw on one side and nothing on the other) are supposed to be those little plastic fasteners with the push-in centre. The same as the ones on the infil panels under the seat.

Pretty much any suitably sized nut and bolt will do the job for now though - I used a number plate bolt for a time when I lost one of the plastic fasteners.

There should also be a screw inside the "air scoops" on either side of the headlights.

Not much you can do about the radiator lug, but if the rest of the fasteners are in place that should stop the panels flapping about.

Any idea what size the clips are i've got 5mm ones which you screw in the middle (rather than push) but they just seem to work loose and fall out.

The screws are present either side of the headlight

Not sure off-hand and nowhere near the bike at the mo but if you pinned me down with a gun to my head I'd guess 7mm.

Now put down that gun and measure the hole.
