Default Brake Bleed / Fluid question.

I replaced my front calipers+pads with new ones, also replaced the brake fluid with dot 4 fully synthetic fluid.

Bleeding was fine & quick. However the lever was very soft. I could almost pull it all the way to the bar. (with some effort)

I have done now 80 miles since changing the calipers & the Lever is firm again, like it used to.

But also the brake fluid turned brown...
It is clear - is it normal that it turns brown that quickly ? (80 miles)

I'd flush the system again. Sounds like it's contaminated to me.

The brake was probably a little soft at first because of the new pads, SVs have quite flexy calipers and pads that aren't bedded in are known to cause a soft lever.

As for the fluid, when you replace it there's always a little left in there - it's never completely dry - even a little old fluid will discolour the new, if you're bothered by this change it again.
