Default I indicator flash rate...

Omo. As most people know I'm fairly good with electrical stuff but this problem has me stumped.

With the bike switched on and not running my right hand indicators flash rate is perfect but when the bike is running the right hand indicator as an erratic flash rate going from normal to "blown bulb" rate.

I'm stumped so any help would be appreciated.

Heat reduces resistance.

Lower resistance faster flashing.

Something is warming up too much.

Does moving both bulbs to the other side move the problem?

Try running another wire from the relay to the bulb or swap left/right wires over. Does that move the problem?

If no to above change the flasher relay (or clean the contacts if you can get to them).

Thanks Grant. It happens the moment i start the bike running. Hazards are fine left is fine. Good shout about changing the bulbs over I'll try that. I have pretty much looked at all the connectors in the circuit and they seem fine.

What happens if you swap the bulbs from left to right to see if the fault follows?.

I've had partially faulty bulbs do funky things :/

I also had to replace my front and rear indicators a while ago for some cheapies off eBay as that were so old the plastic was decaying and cracked and the metal bulb holders wouldn't work correctly no matter what I did.

I am a fan of LED bulbs but couldn't be arsed to mess around so standard
