Default Swapping stubby exhaust between bikes

Hello,

My old man has a carbon end can from his Bandit 1200 lying around the garage, and I'd quite like to use it when i get a bike

He removed it and replaced it about a year ago. Its in perfect working order and its been a bit trimmed.

I'd like to know whether it would fit onto a K3 pointy with appropriate pipping and stuff...

to be honest I don't have a clue what I would have to do to fit it! Its got 4 holes in its 'engine end' one big 'un for the fumes, and 3 little threaded ones, to attach onto the rest of the exhaust.

Is this fitting area fairly universal or specific to Bandits?

i drew a picture coz i couldn't be arsed to take a pic!

thankyouuu!

Ben.

that looks simerler to my fireblade can.

you couldmake it fit, but would need to fit a link pipe from the bandit to your pipe, which IMO is a lot of work, when you can just get the right can to fit

I'm guessing that's where it bolts onto the pipe? If you can find the right link pipe then it should fit but may be a hassle.

You'll need a custom link pipe for that, or a normal SV link pipe and an adaptor.

IIRC, Banditmania sell a slip on to bolt on exhaust adaptor - £50 I think. HTH

found this...

Bolt on adapter

i guess this would bolt onto the bottom of the can and i would then need to find appropriate link pipes...only...which ones and how?!

Is there not a link pipe or pipe on the bike already?

If there is, then this would slip on to it with an exhaust clamp, then bolt the end can on.

Job done.
