So the ZX6r sold this morning. Sad to sse it go, but needed the space and funds for work on other bikes.
Including the recent purchase of Supermoto wheels for the DRZ, which I'm fitting today. Hopefully this will make the DRZ a multi purpose bike and maybe even good for trying a bit of Moto Gymkana that the ZX6r was being built for.

If you sell it, you can always look back n say.... I've had one of those!
And be happy in the knowledge that you actually did have one.
Over many years I've owned many bikes, they've all come and gone through various circumstances, there are still many makes n models I'd like to own and it's only through the buying / collecting / selling process that allows it to happen.

I had the DRZ400-SM and it handles really well but a bit too high in the saddle for me, good job it was a lightweight bike. A lot of fun though.

The SV is going to be painted and at nearly 20k will need valve clearances done so its likely not to make it on the road this year

All in all a productive day.

Will have limited free time as working during the week, learning to fly gliders most Saturdays and volunteering 3 out of 4 Sundays for the foreseeable so if it's nice and I have free time I will ride the bike that's ready.

While the fairings are away (being done by family member as a favour for a bottle of whiskey I just have to supply paint )going to try checking the valve clearances, hopefully they are in spec and clean and regrease head bearings and rear suspension linkage.

Less pressure when I have another bike to ride and only ride for pleasure.

Going slightly against the grain for a Yamaha Tracer owner, I've taken the lambda delete kit out and refitted the sensor.

Maybe sometime this year I will add the FTECU harness kit and remap it (they're known for being notoriously lumpy)

What does lumpy mean, is that a bit jerky/erratic throttle response sort of
thing ?

Day off (extra long weekend) so started prep for Cadwell on Saturday. Oil change, installed the brake guard (turned a spacer in delrin on the lathe - still not perfect but much better fit), new bearings in my front spare/track wheel, supercorsas installed on same set of wheels, disks removed and cleaned up, indicators removed(rears we're badly corroded and broke), headlights taped up.
