Exporting a Vehicle
Anyone done it? Is it just a matter of filling in the bit on the V5C, returning your tax disc and cancelling the insurance?

Viney,
sorry leaving do Friday, travel to Edinburgh yesterday for the Pan Clan do meant Ive not seen this til now. Where are you exporting it to? EC or outside? There will be intra-EC Customs forms if its to another EC country - you need a VAT 411 form to bring a vehicle in. Each country has its own forms. On top of the DVLA ones. If its outside EC, there are export forms to complete and the country of destination will require completed forms. If exporting it, you should find a good shipper who will deal with the paperwork.
