Default Reccommend me a parcel pick up / delivery company

I need to ship a big parcel, pick up is essential, any ideas of who to use ?
Parcel force want quite a lot of money and need to know the exact weight which I don't know, but can guesstimate.

Cheers

Quite a lot of people on here recommend parcel.monkey. whilst they are cheap, in my experience they are a bit hit and miss. Took two orders for me to get my cans delivered.

When you say big, do you mean a pallet of stuff?

Used Parcelmonkey loads of times with no problem. There will always be a first, but its cheaper than parcelfarce and they collect from you.

You can calculate the cost online before booking the job

Another vote for parcelmonkey, used them 3-4 times now, once for an entire GSXR front end! usually citylink seem to be used but you get the choice IIRC through the order process. No problems here so far either, as stated there is always a chance but least you can weigh up peoples good experiences vs bad.

Used Citylink loads. Not the cheapest but never had any problems with them.

i have used parcel monkey before and while it used to be good when using city link the new carrier seems to miss more pickups. Also used parcel to go whom I will avoid like the plague..esp when booking with hdnl ( homedelivery network couriers.)

Be careful when booking packages as the insurance will only cover the whole of the order irrespective of the number of boxes. It would have been better if I had booked 3 separate orders and had 3 x insurance than to have one. Price was the same. There is a long list of items that arent covered by insurance too.

Parcel 2 go customer service was poor ( claims took 3 months and 80 quid out of pocket) and I couldnt phone parcel monkey as there wasnt a landline ( but was sorted in the end)

I'd still go with parcel monkey with citylink. If its larger have a look at shiply to get couriers to tender. I had a new oven picked up and delivered for 60 quid
