Default Forks

Today, i decided that it was time to do my forks. So off i went to my mates garidge init, where he has an engine hoist. This make life sooooo easy when doing this Job.

Anyway, the point. I refiled the forks with 10w oil (Std weight oil) and its amazing the difference fresh oil makes. They are a lot more complaint, and not so 'bouncy' What with this and the single rate springs that i installed a while back, the front end feels much better. Well worth doing. I also replaced the fork seals and dust caps.

While they where off, i done the polishing thing. Not with a polishing wheel, oh no no no, i dont it the hard way. Wet n Dry, scotchbrite, and then T cut. No more corrosion for me...well, the next owner. me, well im shattered now

Viney... I'm curious. You've done so much to the bike, and yet you'd not sorted out the front end? Are you mental?

I see that you only chnage something if its highlighted in your riding not becuase everyone else says do it if you know what i mean. I have never had a problem with the front end of this bike. Its never done anything that has made me want to change it. The fact that it has the springs and 02 top caps, is that they where there at the time at the right price (Free )

Fair enough- I think you're right that some people just change it because they hear so many times that it needs doing... But then again, I think one of the reasons so many people have done it is because it's such an excellent, and relatively cheap mod. Bit of both I think

Fair enough but what would you do to change it?
