Where to buy R&G Mushrooms?
Where can I get a set of R&G crash mushrooms for my '00 SV650Y naked? I understand they are to dogs when it comes to bike protection.
Not sure I like the idea all the same - a bit like tempting fate fitting them. Cheers Bagpuss |

Cheers for the info guys, are they the best ones to go for? Not cheap but if it saves a few hundred in the event of a spill could be a worthy investment. Or will I just be asking for trouble fitting 'em?

Don't! Buy Moko's Instead far superior, RG's are very thin around the alloy base as nylon screws in to it, which means they snap off leaving an alloy washer behind and can oval the holes as they dont fit tightly in the hole.
Moko's have a solid ally base that fits tightly in the frame with a solid nylon puck, crash very well and are less likely to damage the frame. |

The R&Gs don`t snap. I run them on my race bike and so do my 3 mates. We all have different bikes but all run R&G protectors.
Oh and we`ve all tested them!! The RSV1000 4 times! BSB riders aren`t wrong. |

They can sometimes tear out though... Though this is supposed to have been fixed on the latest version. of course, there are crashes no bung will survive- if they hit an edge at any speed, like a kerb or similiar, they're going to snap no matter what. After the travesty of the Motrax DHBs I've put my faith and my money into R&G, but i don't believe for a second they're infallible.
