I give in
All this talk of pointy this and curvy that is doing my head in, why because I dont know the difference between the two. Can someone point it out to me please. Also since I am looking for one at the moment what one is the best to get for a first big bike.
Thanks. p.s I know the headlights are different on the naked and the faired but that can't be it. |

Re: I give in
the most noticable difference is that the pointy is better...

curvy is old, pointy is new.
Brand new pointy is the way to go. |

Re: I give in
look at the banner above, the bike on the left is a curvey and on the right is a pointy. The curvy is the mark one model, with curvaceous bodywork. The pointy is the mark two, with pointy bodywork.

Re: I give in
Curvy: Rounded fairing, rounded frame, carbs, look at the top of the page where the banner is. The bike on the LHS is a curvy.
Pointy: Sharp angular fairing, sharp angular frame, injected. On the same banner the bike on the right is a pointy. Not much difference between the two really. Both good bikes, but I prefer the look of the pointy. |

Apart from the bodywork, the pointy has a longer reach to the bars (at least on the S model) which may be worth considering if you're planning on buying either. |
