Do you still follow other forums from bikes you've previously owned? I find it interesting to see what are the current prevailing topics and whether some things are still plaguing people.

I don't go the Street Triple forum as often (I had a 675) but I note that stators failing is still an annoyance. Personally, I think they're not getting enough oil splash to cool them since they always seem to be burnt at the top.

The Z900RS forum continue to talk about snatchy throttle response (mine didn't do it although the Euro 5 model I rode did) requiring an ECU flash and the addition of a gear lever shaft bearing support which may or may not improve gear selection. (I didn't like the Zed gearbox).

The XSR700 forum is very quiet although a recent thread about failed gauges seems to have raised some interest and because I have too much time on my hands (and curiousity), I discovered that a Taiwanese firm makes the original (CTE) but there are plug and play alternatives that display much more info (and are cheaper than buying from Yamaha).

I still visit the Suzuki 2-stroke forums now and then, unfortunately there's a lot less activity than there used to be.
Some of the active members have given up riding etc, and new members are increasingly scarce as spares supply dries up and prices rise.

The days of being able to pick up a good used set of GT380 barrels and pistons for £45 have long gone.

Still following Yamaha XZ550 Vision, Kawasaki Concours and Ninja 250 fora, every now and then something interesting pops up. For example, the Ninja forum has the best documentation on carb cleaning.

Only very occasionally. Sometimes it's useful for general awareness topics that can be transferrable to any bike.

What I find more sad is the general de-camp to Facebook and the like, which tbh I find increasingly incomprensible, plagued with invasive advertising and quite useless for searching out previous experience or advice. (Maybe I'm just too old to understand?)

RIP SV650 X curvy, crashed and written off December 2019.
I'm (procrastinating about) fixing up an old Yamaha FZ600 to get myself fully back on the road.

Agreed. The days of active forums like this and others used to be are over. It seems people would rather exist in tiny echo chambers on faceache or wherever.

The two most active forums I visit are aircooledrdclub (Yamaha two stroke) but I think it's a pay site if you want to post/ask questions. The other is a compendium forum since it covers all (old) British bikes but divided into sections (https://www.britbike.com/forums/ubbt.../forum_summary).
