I'd prefer it not to be a Tory, but that's a pipe dream.

I would not want to see any of the close BoZo supporters. Raab, Truss, Patel, Gove etc. It might be funny for a while to see Rees-Mogg (+ Nanny) as PM but it would grow tiring living in more of a farcical situation than we're in now. (So: NO!)

Tom Tugendhat is a centrist Tory and BoZo doesn't like him so he has that in his favour. Ex-military (Afghanistan/Iraq) - didn't go to Eton, more plus points - but he is considered an outsider (not unethical and stupid enough perhaps).

Would it be any better? Sussex University pointed out that this is the most corrupt government since WWII, led by a PM whose has been fired multiple times for lying, who has had several mistresses whilst being married - even went to court to try and deny that a child was not his.

If the next PM has any ethics at all, it would be slightly better.

I think they will have learned a lesson (for the time being) and go for a "safe pair of hands" type while they recover from the Johnson era. There is always the option to skip a generation and go for someone completely new but they really need some experienced but untainted candidates. Javid is a possibility but I think he lacks something so how about Hunt? Got the experience and has had no part in the Johnson debacle. He has kept his powder dry and not rocked the boat from his couple of years on the back benches. We have all had time to forget that he was not the best health secretary ever but he held the job a long time. I doubt they will go for him because he was a remainer and that means traitor to a significant Tory group but who knows?

I don't think it matters who sits in the PM's chair at the moment. The 25% increase in government borrowing during the pandemic is going to restrict their spending options. From a Conservative perspective, maybe it would be better to let B.J. preside over a couple of years of tax rises, then replace him in time for the next election.

If we do get an early general election it'll need the SNP and Labour working together to kick out the Conservatives. But, I think the price demanded by the SNP will be too high. So, anyone's guess who will actually be able form a government.

Just my opinions,

Keith.

Truss,

Can't see the Tory grandees wanting Sunak or Patel just because of the colour of their skin.

Plus Sunak has ****ed on his shoes with the NI hike and this £200 fuel loan.

When a comedian makes a satirical skit that is so accurate, so close to the truth, is it still satire or does it become a documentary?

Here's the comedian Tom Walker as the fictional reporter Jonathan Pie doing an interview with the New York Times explaining why we Brits are having a problem with Boris. (Don't watch if you're a Boris fan).
