That's a shame. My local shop works with acs - I've no experience of them, but I'm guessing they're all going to be pretty similar. They have a map on their website with shops that will take impressions:

There are some shops in Scotland there, but I realise it's a big place!

you can make your own Daz. just look for small moulding silicone kits on the bay. IIR there is a thread on here somewhere.

mix the two parts and put half in each ear then sit and wait for the putty to go off. pop them out your ears and then make a negative mould using mould silicone then pour in your required silicone gel. if you want earphone type then just put the earphone in the gel before its set.

i made a set but they were too good and you had to keep washing them. much prefer the throw away foam plugs.

Yeah I tried those DIY ones years ago and didn't have much luck.
I want to try the proper ones. With disposables I've got to get them just right in my ear to not 'leak'

And on long tours they start to really hurt my ears

Before I had moulded earplugs (a gift from my wife) I used these:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B077NB9PJ3/

They have the same high quality sound filter as the moulded plugs, but much cheaper and simpler. They're made from very soft silicone and only the little tab protrudes meaning there's less chance of moving about than disposable ones.

I find the moulded earplugs stick in place a lot better, as you'd expect, but they're about the same in terms of comfort.
