Default SCHUBERTH C5 /Sena SC2 problem

I’ve got myself a SCHUBERTH C5 and SC2 comms unit. But I can’t get my iPhone to pick up the microphone input. Everything else works fine, just the microphone isn’t heard by my iPhone.

Has anyone else had this?

That looks to have drawn a bit of a blank.

Is nobody else using a Sena setup at all?

I have a Shoei SRL2 which is made by Sena, but they're quite different beasts. My bet would be on it being a physical problem, either with the microphone or helmet (which I believe provides the wiring for the SC2).

I would check the fitting of the microphone - make sure it's firmly pushed in, and try reseating the control unit at the back (check there's no dirt on any of the contacts while doing that) but if that doesn't work, I would contact your retailer or Schuberth about it as if it's a problem with the helmet wiring, it's likely to need to be a warranty replacement. If your retailer can try a different SC2 with the helmet, that would help eliminate it.

I've asked on another forum which has loads of people with comms, depends on what bike you have Red, so please bear with:

If you have a tft dash and it has already paired with the iphone then the sena needs another channel to use. Bit of a BMW issue apparently. Videos on youtube.

Is it possible the sena has paired with something else? Turn off all other bluetooth devices (or move far enough away from them. Maybe even a smar****ch.

Have you tried turning it off and on again - there's always one isn't there?

Buy a Cardo - sometimes there's not just one, but a second joins the party.

Does it pair to another phone? May eliminate/confirm the hardware issue.
