I so hope they continue with an SV in some form, even if it is, as they surmise in the article, vaguely adventure styled. At least it then allows for possible evolution into some sort of sport/touring/naked version too.

Fingers crossed. Apart from the 2 800 models Suzuki have been far too quiet recently. A smaller GX bike would be very nice for the lineup as the Strom 800s are not everyone's cup of tea.

I'm also hoping they'll come up with some smaller capacity bikes or everyone will migrate to RE or Honda's GB350S...

Those AI sites are garbage. When the 8T/TT preview date was almost on us so many of these sites sprang up saying "this is what's coming..." with clearly AI-genrrated renderings, none of which were anywhere close. If you see anything with a middle aged Japanese businessman in the thumbnail just ignore it is my advice. Some of them are quite entertainingly wrong however.

And the first new models to be shown at Suzuki's EICMA press conference are the SV7-GX bikes. Yes!! Ride by wire throttle, engine modes, traction control, bi-directional quick shifter, and Suzuki easy start. Despite the SV7 name, it's still the good old SV650 lump in the bike Still no USD forks though.

That was the video they showed at the press conference this morning Jayne, before they took the covers off the new models, and before telling us what the new bikes were. As soon as I saw the bikes, I realised they were SV650s.

Great to see the spirit of the SV living on in this new model. It looks good too.

So the SV was killed off because the engine didn't meet modern emission rules yet here is that engine in this new bike
