Stupid, ignorant BMW Rider...
So I'm heading home the other night to see the Mortgage advisor. I'm on the SV for traffic reasons and lo and behold there's an almighty jam. I start to filter (as you do) and I notice a slow bike in front of me. i slow down a bit.
When I catch up with the idiot he's doing the same speed as the cars (I'm talking slipping the clutch in first slow speeds here) *between* two of them wobbling and swerving side to side! 1) Git held me up for way too long! Eventually had to go around the cars on the hard shoulder and then start filtering again 2) This moron is one of the reasons car drivers (in general) hate bikers filtering. If I'd been in my car and he'd hae been doing that I would not have been happy!!! I don't mind him not filterin (his choice) but if you look over your shoulder and see someone who is then get out of their way! Don't do car speeds between two of them. Sorry rant over... Stu |

yeah I hate it when they don't move over even tho its obvious your moving faster....
Doesn't happen very often but annoying when it does. Can usually just switch lanes and filter the other lane |

Blimey
sounds like the guy was not very confident and going about building up to filtering all the wrong ways. Got stuck behind someone in a sililar situation on the M25 the other day would not move over despite the queue of bikes so we all broke left through a gap and went down between lanes 1 & 2 then back in front of him, but it was bloody annoying.

There's no point in doing that, that's not actually filtering, it's called 'driving in an imaginery third lane' and acheives nothing except increased risk of being crushed. If he wasn't going to be filtering properly then he should have just stayed in a car lane.

theres a guy who does this to me nearly every night on the a2... he knows im behind him but he just doesnt pull over... and as its 2 lanes I dont have the option of pulling over and undertaking...
I do pull over for bigger bikes cos I hate being held up but there have been occasions where Ive daydreamed for a sec only to realise someones come up behind me. But as soon as i realise and i can move i do.. this guy doesnt.... I think this guys on a beamer too.... |

I used to have this with a Deuville rider on my commute home. Did exactly the same thing, actually went slower than the cars either side of him. Wouldn't let me by. Really pi$$ed me off. Used to dread seeing him ahead. Grrr.
