1200 Bandit FRONT wheel bearings
I got a 1200 bandit FRONT wheel to put on my curvy SV650 - thinking I was being clever.
I had read on here that the bearings were a diff size, but swap them and you are away … Sure enough the ID of the bearings is too large; no problem, I pinched the bearings out of my damaged SV wheel, I’ll chuck them in … {family fortunes buzzer sound} eh-errrrrrrrr {/buzzer sound} Unfortunately, the OD is larger than the SV one too (by a fair ways) so it won't go in (well stay in!! ). Has anyone ever found a bearing that has the 1200 bandit OD (sorry, can’t remember what it was off the top of my head) and SV650 inner?!?! In short has anyone ever managed to fit a bandit 1200 wheel to a curvy SV?? Last edited by Blue_SV650S; 14-02-08 at 02:21 PM. |

Re: 1200 Bandit FRONT wheel bearings
I'm pretty sure the answer is you can't ........you needed a 600 Bandit but the later one with the same spoke design as the SV ie not the ealiest ones.
Year you want is, 2000 -?.....perhaps it's up to 2004 as if memory serves me right (not sure on this), Suzuki changed the Bandit wheel again. It might actually be a straight swap come to think of it. Have to double check on that as it's been ages since I mocked about with those wheels. Anyhoos , I might have a Bandit wheel to suit. If the bearings needed changing, then it's already been done as I've had it on an SV. Ben |

Re: 1200 Bandit FRONT wheel bearings
Ok, thanks boys for help …
In summery you can get a 47mm OD 17mm ID bearing, its is a 6303. It is 14mm wide unlike the SV that is 12mm and the bandit that is 15mm. Anyhoo, none of this matters anyway as other measurements simply don’t align with the SV wheel. Like the width where the bearings sit and the width where the discs fit!! … Anyone want a bandit 12 wheel!?!? |
