Good read, shows that the bike is pretty handy despite being pretty long in the tooth these days.

Good read.
Are fairings pretty essential for the track?

Does the Sport come with a stiffer set of springs or are they telling porkies in that article about leaving the suspension alone?

The biggest weak point the SV has out of the box is the suspension. Ugh.

I've read the Sport does come with slightly stiffer springs...or is that the 's' in general?

Sure the suspension is weak, but its not critical-failure, all hands on deck, disasterously, we are all doomed I tell ya, end of life as we know it bad.

Says the guy that put Hyperpro springs front and back on his SV..................... (I will however contest that in Japan where the SV was designed, they have far fewer pies than here )

less than you'd think though. I over did mine with the 15wt oil
The fronts too stiff and the backs a bit soft now.
