Default Mechanical Advice.....

Have a mate with an 86 Kwak GSX750 I think- has been nicked twice in the last month and come back in a state each time.....

Have advised on Security, but cant advise on the following - an extract from an email on his current concerns.

"3: A check of the fuel system to find out why the engine is in
the habit of sometimes loosing power when I get down to around
the half tank mark.
4: Find and fix a leak (not sure if it's oil, coolant or whatever
but the bike does tend to leave a puddle behind when I park her)."

Any thoughts, comments?

Personally I think he was ripped off by the place that sold it to him, have told him about some of the £1400 ish SVs in the for sale section - but if they are nicking his rather tatty Kwak, what chance does he have with a nice SV.

I would advise him to move to different area! If the locals are willing to nick a ****heap like that then what chance would a nice sv have? Seriously though I only got £1400 p/x for my 02 plate curvy 's' mdel in mint condition!! (Robbing gits but I had to have my xjr )

Need more info to make any sort of response other than extremely vague*.

If you don't know what's on the floor how can we possibly know where it came from?

Yes. If it's coolant that's leaking it's not a GSX750, they're aircooled.

*Although clearly a vague response would neatly match the question.

Are you sure dogs are not using it as a toilet? I thought gsx's were suzis? Kwaks were GPX's weren't they at that time which are w/cooled I think?

Sorry for confusion folks
