Ride to Betws-y-Coed
Weather permitting, I'm hoping to get a ride out next week sometime. I want to go up to Betws-y-Coed but it'll be via various nice roads with a couple of tea and cake stops. Not sure what day yet although it won't be Wednesday.
Anyone up for joining us? |

Work... Boo.
Give me another year or two and I'll hopefully be retired.

Think of this as me doing the ride for you Trevor.

I think as long as the weather holds, this ride will be on Tuesday. Anyone up for a spin out?

Can't this time, Gary, but have a good one.
Are you planning on heading over the top to Bala, then the A4212 & B4391 to Ffestiniog and up to Betws? |

I think that's roughly the way we'll go Craig, we'll probably come back via a different route.

Re: Ride to Betws-y-Coed
Great ride in good weather last week. Llangynog - Bala - A4212 - B4391 to Ffestiniog - Betws-y-coed. We came back all the way down a remarkably empty A5 to Llangollen - Oswestry - Llanfyllin. I'd forgotten what a nice piece of road it is without the traffic.

Re: Ride to Betws-y-Coed
I absolutely love that route to Bala, as you climb up out of Pen-y-bont-fawr and along the top the road and views are stunning. Then over the top again on the B4391 to Ffestiniog and down to Porthmadog ... doesn't get much better, in my view
It's a shame the A5 has average speed cameras over some stretches but at least the limit is NSL and not 50mph. |
